Celebrating American Grown Flowers Week at M&M Plants

In honor of American Grown Flower’s week, Kelly of Petals by the Shore and myself threw a party at M&M Plants in Dickerson, MD to celebrate.  Buying local and American grown flowers is a pretty amazing thing. Not only are you helping the local economy and small businesses you are getting a superior product without all the harsh pesticides, talk about a flower that is pretty and powerful!

I am a firm believer in that celebrations are best spent with a flower crown so we hosted a flower crown making class at the farm using all local flowers. We sourced flowers from  M&M Plants, Petal Patch Farm, and Hidden Ridge Farm. Torn and Tied provided the gorgeous hand dyed ribbon and Joy Michelle took these amazing photos.

M&M took us on a farm tour complete with a tractor ride. Lowe Love Calligraphy created the beautiful signs and each guest went home with a potted herb. It was an amazing night with industry friends celebrating local flowers!
