My husband and I recently took a trip to Nashville, TN to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. I am in love with Music City. Amazing live music all over the place, fabulous restaurants, wonderful people and a great vibe.

We stayed at this fab Airbnb in Hilsboro. Georgia was an amazing hostess and her decor was on point. It was within walking distance to the 12 South district and Belmont University. A 10 minute uber/lyft ride to downtown, it was the perfect retreat from the bachelorette parties (everywhere) and bustle of Broadway.

Here are my fav spots from the trip and I can’t wait to come back, pack my boots and explore some more!

Fav spots on Broadway

Honky Tonk Central – 3 floors of live music and some of our fav musicians set up shop here.

Acme Feed & Seed – Located on the end of Broadway, 3 more floors of joy complete with a rooftop bar overlooking the Cumberland River, Nissan Stadium and Riverfront Park. The second floor has a sushi bar and I am still craving their spicy scallop roll.

Sips & Bites

The Southern Restaurant & Oyster Bar – Celebrated our 6th anniversary with brunch here. This was one of the most recommended spots and it is deserving of the title. Get the Highway (Chicken & Waffles), and it will change your life.

Bartaco in 12 South – Guac & salsa & cauliflower tacos, be still my heart. I think Scott may have literally ordered a dozen different tacos (well I had a few).

Whiskey Kitchen – Their Nashville hot chicken is amazing and not too spicy.

Proper Bagel – located in Hilsboro, their avocado toast is made of dreams. Their ricotta and egg and New Yorker bagel sandwich may have saved our lives after a night out. Try their cookie dough cream cheese. Nom.

Chago’s Cantina – also located in Hilsboro, great margaritas and tacos, you may be seeing a pattern here. Great prices too since it was located across from Belmont University.

Pinewood Social – We bowled and took a dip in their pool. It was Scott’s favorite spot on the trip.

Draper James– Reese Witherspoon’s signature shop was as sweet as the tea they served at the boutique. I got my paws on a “darlin” messenger bag perfect for work events or tailgating. It doesn’t hurt that Sprinkles Cupcakes is next door complete with a cupcake atm.

White’s Mercantile – Hank William Jr’s granddaughter owns this 12 South shop beautifully curated of southern goodies.
