The bride says . . .
“The day was very family focused with people coming from all over the world to celebrate. It was my sister (the Maid of Honor’s) birthday so the crowd sang her happy birthday as she blew out the candles. During the anniversary dance my grandparents were the last ones on the dance floor with the bouquet after beating everyone else with their 65-year marriage. They are so special to us and we wanted to do something to celebrate them and their love which we admire so much on our wedding day.
We picked the venue after only visiting two others, based on the fact that the grounds looked exactly like my grandfather’s farm. Our sunset pictures overlooking the hills behind the venue were some of our favorite moments from the day. It was so nice to sneak away from the reception for a few minutes just to regroup and have some time alone to talk about the excitement of the day.
The day was better than we could have ever imagined, and walking through the sparkler sendoff at the end of the night was a priceless moment.”
Special touches included: homages to MD in a state shaped guest book, the groomsmen’s socks, and crab cakes during cocktail hour. Lawn games were set up for guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour as well as a popcorn bar. Rosemary was present on the invitation, as sprigs in the napkin folds, in the boutonnieres and on the wedding cake.
